Jimmy Green enjoys spending time at the Alibates National Flint Quarries flint knapping. A flint knapper is someone who shapes stone through the process of knapping or striking with another object. The human race relied on this technique to create tools and weapons for many years.
Meals on Wheels clients, Opportunity Center members and volunteers recieved a goodie bag from the Borger Opportunity Center. Two hundred goodie bags were delivered and Lida Whitehead wishes to thank everyone who made this possible.
Demolition began Wednesday of severals old buildings around the Hutchinson County Museum. The space will be used for a new oil patch exhibit. Stay tuned for more details.

Lanie Hazle and B.J. Brittain were downtown Borger on Monday afternoon to check on tuxes at Jim's Diamond Shop. They are getting married on Saturday. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Around 4:34 this morning a 911 call was received about an aggrivated assault with a deadly weapon at 1021 Thrams St.The altercation occurred between two men. Upon arrival, auhorities found Ryan Andrew Gilstrap, 27, who was then transported to a local hospital, where he was prounced deceased. As of now, the authorities to do not have a suspect I.D. but are following some leads. The police are focusing on securing the scene and questioning the witness. Will be reporting more information as it becomes available.
