Spearman teacher pleads guilty to inappropriate relationship with student

     Melissa Sutterfield, 42, a former elementary school teacher in Spearman, has plead guilty to felony charges of Having an Improper Relationship with a Student in the small town school district where she worked, according to a press release from the Office of 84th District Attorney Mark W. Snider.

Thursday night the Borger High Tennis Team will be having a fundraiser at Pizza Duo. The team will be waiting tables during our Thursday night and will receive 10% of the sales, plus 100% of your tips. The Thursday night buffet will have ribs, sausage, chicken, potatoes, pizza, and much more all for only $10 including tax and drink.

Kai Moffitt indicted for father's murder

   As of Wednesday, February 26,  Brendan Kai Moffitt, 23, of Borger has been formally indicted by a Hutchinson County Grand Jury for the New Year's Day murder of his father, Herschel Bryan Moffitt, according to a press release from the office of 84th Judicial District Attorney Mark W. Snider.

     Kai Moffitt was arrested on January 1, 2014 after police, responding to a call for possible gun shots fired, found his father, Herschel Bryan Moffitt, 47, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. 

 

Agrium announces $720m expansion to Borger plant

Troopers release information on Canadian River Bridge crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released identity of a man killed in a bizarre auto accident over the weekend of February 15 and 16. 

Ezequiel Perez, 22, was on his way to Stinnett from Borger in a 1999 Honda 4-door car when he drifted onto the guard rail at the Canadian River bridge outside of town, according to a report by Senior Trooper Chris Ray of the DPS. 

The guard rail impact caused the car "to vault into the river bottom," coming to rest between the southbound and northbound sections of teh bridge, said the release.
