The Borger Police Department is investigating the deaths of two teens that occurred Sunday afternoon.
At 2:30 p.m., officers were called to 703 East Sixth Street, where two unresponsive subjects were found, according to Lt. Anthony Griffin of the BPD.
March 17th
The Borger Police Department responded to an incident at 6th and Florida late Sunday afternoon. The Borger News-Herald attempted to make calls for information but was unsuccessful. The BNH will continue to follow this story and will bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.

It won’t be quite as warm this weekend as it was on Friday, but it still won’t be too bad! Highs will be in the lower 60s both Saturday and Sunday. There will be an increase in cloud cover late Saturday afternoon, but that cloud cover will depart by Sunday afternoon. We’ll have generally north winds all day Saturday and part of Sunday before they shift to the south Sunday afternoon.
AMARILLO, Texas – Xcel Energy’s Southwestern Public Service Company (SPS) is seeking proposals for additional wind energy resources as a component of its resource planning process.
Through this solicitation, SPS is requesting proposals for wind generation resources that could begin delivery to SPS on or after January 1, 2014 (but no later than December 31, 2015) and that would be contracted through a power purchase agreement.
The complete bid package will be available on Monday, March 18 at www.xcelenergy.com. Bids will be accepted until 5 p.m. CDT on Friday, April 12.

Long time photographer, Don Rice, captured this beautiful sunset just outside of Borger. Whether it's snapping a picture of a building, a person, or a sunset, he always gets it just right.
The Kiwanis Club of Borger is excited to announce their 55th Annual Pancake Breakfast this year.
It will be held Saturday, April 6th from 6:00am until noon (for you late risers!). It will be at the Frank Phillips College cafeteria, and tickets are $6.00 for all you can eat pancakes with butter and syrup (sugar free option available. Bacon, sausage, coffee, milk, and orange juice will also be served.
Come out and enjoy this scrumptious event!

Chamber Ambassadors and board members recently began this year's 'Project Thank You' to show appreciation to members for their support. Three years ago the Chamber of Commerce began this program to focus it's energy once each year toward reminding members how important their support is to the organization. Chamber board members and chamber ambassadors are busily delivering this year's Plan of Work, Chamber Stationary, and Chamber Memo Clips along with a personal banquet invitation to it's valued members.

A musical comedian specializing in celebrity impressions will be the featured entertainment at this year's Borger Chamber of Commerce banquet.
Matt Jernigan will entertain the crowd at this year's event, which is set for April 4, 2013, at the Borger Community Activity Center on the campus of Frank Phillips College. The banquet is open to the public.
Jernigan is known as an amazing comedy impressionist who hilariously spoofs popular rock, R&B, hip hop, country, and pop stars. With his guitar and talent, he can bring anyone to life on the stage.

This is not going to be a very nice weekend at all. The wind will be HOWLING on Saturday! Sustained winds of 30-40 mph and wind gusts of 60+ mph are likely. There will be lots of blowing dust and dirt in the air too. Sunday will be colder with highs only in the 40s and the wind will remain strong from the north.
