Carlotta Walls Lanier appears at FPC

October 10, 2013

Carlotta Walls LaNier, one of nine African-American students to enroll in Little Rock Arkansas’ Central High School in 1957 was at Frank Phillips College last night to sign books for students.
Frank Phillips students are reading LaNier’s book A Mighty Long Way: My Journey to Justice at Little Rock Central High School.

There is a $4,500 reward to anyone that has information on where to find this vehicle. Welders, trailers, and ect. were stolen Saturday and Sunday night from businesses here in town. If you know who this truck belongs to, or have information on where it is, please call the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Office at (806) 274-6343.

Bells Will Ring in Borger

For the third year, the entire country is invited to come together as one community to honor the memory of those firefighters who died in the line of duty and reassure their loved ones that their firefighters will not be forgotten.
The Hutchinson County Volunteer Fire Department and other local fire departments will join together at 6:30pm on Saturday, October 5th, at the Huber Park Veterans Memorial Wall for this moment of remembrance.

Truck driver Michael Blaine Kirk arrest photo released

September 28, 2013

The Amarillo Police Department and the Potter County Sheriff's Office have released the arrest photo of Michael Blaine Kirk, the 22yr old man allegedly responsible for an accident that left three prominent Borger residents dead and one hospitalized.
Kirk was driving a white flatbed Mack truck that struck the Lincoln Towncar occupied by David Dacus, his wife Cheryl Dacus, and Cheryl's parents Charles E. and Vonnie Williamson Washburn. Cheryl Dacus and her parents were killed in the accident.
