Today at the Rotary luncheon the Elks Lodge presented a $750 check to the Borger Rotary Club.

An unidentified 9 year old boy was struck by a van while riding his bicycle through a crosswalk at the intersection of Hoyne and Broadway in Fritch just after 8am this morning.
The boy suffered some serious injuries including a broken collar bone, broken ribs, and a punctured lung.
According to Fritch Police Department Chief Leggett, the driver of the van was blinded by the rising sun and did not see the child. Leggett also stated that the Fritch PD has collected reports from witnesses confirming these circumstances.
Happy State Bank has now officially moved into their new building. There was money attached to the ribbon that was used at the ribbon cutting with the Borger Chamber of Commerce and that money was donated to the Buttercup House.
