Further details have been released by the Borger Police Department pertaining to a car/motorcycle wreck that occurred late Thursday evening.
Lt. Anthony Griffin of the BPD said that a 1998 blue Toyota four-door vehicle was traveling northbound in the 300 block of South Cedar and a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Ray Eller, 50, of Borger, was traveling southbound along the same road.
The vehicle attempted a left turn onto Bulldog Boulevard. The motorcycle struck the car and Eller was ejected from the motorcycle. The vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to the motorcycle.
A working session of the Small-Fry Fishing Tournament Association will be held this Sunday, April 7 at 3:00 pm at Lake Meredith headquarters, 419 E. Broadway, Fritch. Officers will be elected and committees will be formed to help with various aspects of the tournament, which will be held this fall at the Stilling Basin in Spring Canyon. Volunteers are needed to assist with planning, stuffing gift bags for participants, and for day-of-tournament activities such as registration, cooking, and assisting youngsters who have never fished.
Today will be another winter-like day with lots of clouds, areas of rain & snow, and temperatures stuck in the 30s to around 40°. Any snow accumulation will be light, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few areas with an inch or two. The sun comes back out tomorrow and we warm up nicely.
