The Borger ISD board of trustees has called its election set for this May.
Those up for election this year are David Brandon, Dr. Kent Gray, and Bill Myers. Each term is three years in length. The deadline to register for a place on the ballot is March 1. To get registered or find out more information, call the BISD business office at 273-1001.

In light of the recent information presented about the drug known as K2, the City of Borger is taking action to bring education to the community.
A town hall meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in the city hall council chambers of Borger City Hall, 600 North Main.
The primary focus of the discussion is synthetic drugs in the community. The discussion will be an informative effort to educate the community on the issues the city is facing with synthetic drugs. After the presentation, a question and answer session will be held.
In an effort to detect heart health, Accolade Home Care is offering confidential Heart Health screenings to Borger and surrounding area residents on Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Borger Opportunities Center, 930 Illinois.
