Johnson wins county sheriff's race

The Hutchinson County voters have spoken.
Don Johnson has been voted the new sheriff of the county. According to vote totals posted by myhighplains.com, Johnson won with 1,720 votes (62 percent of the vote) compared to Mickey Blackmon’s 1,061 votes for a total of 38 percent of the vote.
Vote totals from the Hutchinson County Clerk’s office were not available as of press time today.
