Serendipity is an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident. And that is just what the Downtown Merchants in Borger have experienced.
Downtown Borger has a new antique store and a place for local artists to sell their homemade crafts. Judy Allen and Leslie Monden opened Serendipity to highlight local artists, homemade crafts and antiques.
Allen and Monden met in the early 1970s while working at the Borger News-Herald and have been friends since -- sharing the same passion for antiques and crafts.
The Mobile Vet Center (MVC) of Amarillo is coming to Borger to conduct a 2012 Veteran Outreach in Hutchinson County.
The MVC will be in the Wal-Mart Parking Lot, 1404 W. Wilson St., on Aug. 17, from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. This event will be open to all Veterans, their families, and the public.
The MVC provides education about readjustment counseling services offered at Vet Centers.
All War Zone Vets qualify for counseling services. War Zone Vets with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Military Sexual Trauma may receive care at any Vet Center or MVC.
