The Borger Summer Celebration is set for tomorrow evening!
The event will be held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. tomorrow at Huber Park, and is being sponsored by the Borger Chamber of Commerce. ProNews 7 has tentative plans to be in attendance at the event.
The event will have a huge selection of booths to include games, food, prizes, and activities for children. Live entertainment will be provided by the Prairie Dogs.
There will also be a variety of vendors on hand for those attending the event. Those participating in the Borger Summer Celebration are as follows:
Xcel Energy held its annual FFA Electric Workshop at FPC this week in the FPC ag building.
There were 21 area schools participating in this workshop.
The FFA Electric Workshop includes four main courses for the students â€“ loaders, controls, wiring I and wiring II.
The workshops not only teach students the basics of electricity, but also teach the principles of electric safety.

The Sunshine Club Senior Citizens Group of Fritch has a spirit of patriotism, and it wants to see business owners and residents there showing theirs as well.
â€śWe want to put out the American flag at your business for a fee of $30 per year for one flag or $50 per year for two flags on the same property,â€ť Kee Ruland, member of the Sunshine Club, said. â€śThe flags will be 3 ft. by 5 ft. and will be on a 10 ft. pole.â€ť
A fire at a local business on Industrial Boulevard resulted in a total loss early yesterday morning.
Bulldog Electric, 401 Industrial Blvd., was engulfed in flames when the Borger Fire Department arrived at 2:17 a.m.
According to Fire Marshal Jerry Langwell of the Borger Fire Department, six trucks were on the scene for almost four and a half hours after arrival in an attempt to extinguish the fire. Damage to the building resulted in a total loss. There were no injuries reported.
The Service Above Self Award is Rotaryâ€™s highest honor for individual Rotarians, recognizing those who have displayed exemplary humanitarian service with focus on active involvement in helping others through Rotary.
Each year, current and immediate past district governors and current and past Rotary International directors may submit up to three nominations for this award. Nominations must arrive at RI World Headquarters by September 1, and after all nominations are reviewed, the RI Board selects a maximum of 150 Rotarians to receive the award.

Hutchinson County residents can enjoy fireworks outside the city limits this Fourth of July.
Yesterday morning, the Hutchinson County Commissioners agreed to take no action on the order prohibiting or restricting certain fireworks in unincorporated areas of Hutchinson County.
There was also no action continuing or rescinding a county burn ban.
Lake Meredith National Recreation Area has opened the Harbor Bay East leg of the new South Shore Trail System for hiking.
This trail starts at the old Harbor Bay boat launch ramp and runs about two miles to the northeast towards Fritch Canyon.
The Hutchinson County Sheriffâ€™s Posse is preparing for its 55th annual rodeo.
The rodeo will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Sheriffâ€™s Posse arena, which is located at the end of Bulldog Boulevard, past the stadium and softball fields. Admission is $5. Hours for the rodeo will run from 10 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m.
Four Corriente All-Around Saddles and six All-Around Buckles will be awarded at the rodeo and each contestant will receive a participation award.
Age groups are as follows:
