Borger’s local senior citizens center is celebrating 45 years of operation.
Opportunities, Inc., located at 930 Illinois, will celebrate this special milestone this Thursday with a reception from 1-4 p.m. Cake and other refreshments will be served, and the community is invited to come and celebrate.
The center is a non-profit organization of Borger individuals who operate a combination community and senior citizen center.
The Borger Municipal Water System has experienced an average increase in consumption of approximately 10 to 15 percent in previous years. Conditions are appropriate to raise citizen awareness and increase water conservation efforts.
The Borger Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening in the board room at the BISD Administration Building, 200 East Ninth.
Personnel matters will be discussed, which include resignations, the superintendent’s recommendations regarding employment, and substitutes to review.
