By continuing to go green in its cleanup efforts, the City of Borger is hoping to save its customers a little green in the process.
The city has accepted 72 green lawn waste dumpsters to augment those that are already in service.
Jason Anderson, who is the city’s solid waste collection supervisor, said the dumpsters will be used to help divert lawn waste from the landfill, which will reduce the overall cost of solid waste service.
The Hutchinson County Hospital District Board of Directors board will meet this evening.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tonight in the executive board room of Golden Plains Community Hospital.
Under old business, the board plans to act on subsidies for the Stinnett and Fritch EMS groups and follow-up, an 1115 Waiver, the THA Trustee Conference (update) and the Medical Office Building (update).
The board also will act on a Fritch EMS report for March 2012, raising the indigent care qualifying income level to 200 percent federal poverty level, and recommended future agenda items.
