The focus of the event will be teaching local children about the life on the farm, as well as animal safety.
Parents or children interested in attending can call Beckford at 806-457-4200, extension 821. Nearly 800 children are expected to attend the event.
Volunteers are needed for the upcoming United Way Day of Caring.
This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, April 28. Activities will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Huber Park with coffee and breakfast. Teams will depart at 8 a.m. to begin work on their designated projects.
Teri Hogue, who works with the Hutchinson County United Way, said the Day of Caring is a special day when companies and individuals come together to complete projects that benefit people within the community.
