A notice was given on March 12, 2012 at Stinnett City Hall, of a drawing to decide the order in which the names of candidates are to be printed on the ballot for the general election for the Stinnett City Council.
The election will be held on May 12, 2012 from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. in Stinnett City Hall, 609 Mackenzie Ave. Early voting will be held on April 30 through May 8, 2012. Early voting is also at City Hall.
With a deadline set for demolition of the old hospital building, workers are busily doing all they can to meet that deadline.
At the regular meeting of the Hutchinson County Hospital District Board of Directors on Monday evening, Golden Plains Community Hospital CEO Dennis Jack said a deadline of April 15 has been set to finish the demolition process.
“It’s supposed to be done. I don’t think that’s going to happen, but they have got a lot more trucks there this week and are starting to rip it out, so we’ll see,” he said.
The Borger City Council received four requests pertaining to zoning issues for consideration during its regular meeting Tuesday afternoon.
The requests for zoning were as follows:
•Arvind Patel, specific use permit for the placement of a manufactured home to be located at 1415 West Wilson Street (rear).
•Matt Armstrong, request to re-zone Lots 17-27, Block 5, Original Townsite, from a retail zoning district to a commercial zoning district to be known as 900 North Main.
