Who doesnâ€™t love a Murder Mystery Fundraiser?
Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum is preparing for its Third Annual Murder Mystery Fundraiser, set for Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 7-8:30 p.m., under the water tower at the museum in Fritch. Tickets for the event are a $6 donation per person and participants will get their name put into a drawing to win an original work by local artist Rita Sanderson.
Museum director Emily West says the event has been successful for the past two years.
The Borger ISD board will be conducting evaluations of professional staff during its upcoming regular meeting.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, in the board room of the Borger ISD Administration Building, 200 East Ninth.
After doing evaluations of professional staff, the board will consider the superintendentâ€™s recommendations regarding the employment of teachers and other non-administrative staff. The board will also act on resignations and review the current list of substitutes.
The candidates for Hutchinson County Commissioner, Precinct Three, shared their platforms during the candidates forum held by the Hutchinson County Republican Women Tuesday evening.
Nathan Sargent was the first candidate to speak to the audience. He said he is a farmer that lives west of Stinnett and his wife is from the Pringle area.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Borger Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors approved to provide Provenance Consulting a grant worth $165,000 which will be used to help create 10 new jobs by December 31, 2014.
