The Borger Police Department and Hutchinson County Crime Stoppers are needing the help of the community in solving an aggravated robbery that occurred last Friday.
On Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, a female victim, who was not identified, was at a garage sale in the 300 block of North Harvey Street.
As she was getting ready to leave, she was approached by a black male identified as wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.
The first meeting of the 2011-2012 year for Hutchinson County Retired School Personnel Association will be Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Frank Phillips College. Lunch will be available for those attending at 11:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. The program features Four Price, State Representative for the counties of Sherman, Moore, Potter, and Carson. The program will be in the gallery room at 12:30 P.M. The public is invited to attend and learn Representative Price’s impressions of the recent legislative session.
Hutchinson County has a new Republican County Chairman.
Mary Kay Phelan has been approved to serve as the new chairman for Hutchinson County and her duties are beginning effective immediately.
Meryl Barnett, who has served as county chairman for the past 30 years, initially chose Conny Moore to take his place. Moore served in the position for two years. However, due to some health issues within his family, Barnett allowed him to step down and he took the role back over temporarily.
