Stinnett resident Kelly Tull, an eight-year employee of the Canadian River Municipal Water Authority, is using her business resources to save the Sanford Post Office from closure.
Tull said, â€śI use this post office here because Iâ€™m here during my post officeâ€™s work hours, so in my opinion this is my post office. From a business standpoint, itâ€™s going to cripple the way we do our day-to-day operation, as far as mailing and receiving mail if this post office were to close.
The Borger Chamber of Commerce is about to kick off its 24th year of the Leadership Borger program. The program will begin Sept. 21, 2011.
The program is a one-day per month intensive look at the Borger community and Hutchinson County and an opportunity to gain knowledge to enhance participantsâ€™ existing leadership skills.
The program will conclude in April of 2012 with graduation planned at the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet, which will take place in March or April.
