On Monday afternoon, the Frank Phillips College Board of Regents unanimously approved an employment contract for FPC President Dr. Jud Hicks, effective April 18 and running until July 31 of 2012.
After serving as the interim president since December, the Board of Regents officially named Dr. Hicks as the new college president during its April meeting.
Prior to becoming president, Dr. Hicks served as the collegeâ€™s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position he had held since 2002.

Borger Middle School student Cooper Jones was named the first place winner, and BMS students Shelby Harris and Ashleigh Brown each tied for second.

Two are on behalf of Relay for Life, and one is on the behalf of a young teen suffering from cancer.
The St. Andrew United Methodist Church â€śHeavenlyâ€ť Cookies Team for the 2011 Relay for life will be holding a fundraiser called â€śBowl-A-Rama.â€ť This will start at 1pm and will last till 5pm on Sunday, May 22 at Wildcatterâ€™s, 1501 South Main.
