As plans are being made to amend the animal control ordinance for the City of Borger, one of the issues addressed in the ordinance is the number of pets that can be owned by an individual at any one time.
Except as authorized, a person commits an offense if he or she owns or harbors on the premises of a single residence more than four pets or companion animals in any combination.
Instead of making a trip to Amarillo for a good scare, check out the Johnson Park Insane Asylum.
The Johnson Park Youth Center, along with support from the Borger City Council, made the project possible. Residents can visit the haunted house for an inexpensive price between October 17 and October 29, 2011.
Johnson Park Insane Asylum will be open Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and from 7 p.m. till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Admission will be $5. Children under 11 years old should be accompanied by an adult.
Christmas in October is here again!
Every year, the Frank Phillips Nurse Club hosts a “Christmas in October Drive,” helping surrounding nursing home residents.
This particular drive collects items that will help make life for nursing home residents a little simpler. These items include lotions, puzzle books, stationery, razors, socks, deodorant, lap blankets, soap, pens, pencils, etc.
