Texas Rangers Arrest Woman in Sexual Assault Investigation

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) today announced the arrest of a Borger woman for allegedly sexually asssaulting a child. The Texas Rangers arrested Corisa Tosh, 41, after conducting an investigation into the alleged assault in 2009. The Rangers began investigating after being notified by the Borger Police Department. Tosh is a former police officer, and the alleged assault occurred prior to her employment as a Borger police officer. Tosh was booked into the Hutchinson OCunty Jail for sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

The Borger Lady Bulldogs softball team finished their regular season up this past Saturday against Perryton. Borger crushed the Lady Rangerettes 21-6 to finish in a tie for second with Pampa. See results and times for Borger's first playoff game in Lubbock in Tuesday's sports section.

Huffine crowned regional champion

Claire Huffine of Borger was crowned the regional champion at the regional tennis tournament in Lubbock Thursday afternoon. Huffine will now travel to the state tournament.
