STINNETT - Dolores Ann Stover Wilkinson, 57, died Monday, July 11, 2011, in Borger.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Adams of Eternal Light Church officiating. Interment will be in “The Garden of Devotion” at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Oliver L. Gray, Jr., 68, of Grand Junction, Colo., died Sunday at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Denny Sneed, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger.
O. L. was a self-employed contractor in the construction business in Borger and had lived here for 43 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his son Mike, his parents O. L., Sr. and Vivian Gray and his sister Betty Porter.
On Monday evening, the citizens of Stinnett came together to address several concerns regarding the Stinnett police department.
Local citizen and police officer EC Garza spoke at the Stinnett City Council’s regular meeting in the Stinnett City Hal1. Garza said, “There have been allegations that I’m not working, that I don’t do my job, that a lot of people complain and from what I’ve seen, a lot of people are complaining that I’m not out right now.”
The Borger ISD board is set to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, in the board conference room of the BISD Administration Building, 200 East Ninth.
Following roll call, the board will consider action on a complaint from Jimmy and Darasha regarding an attendance committee decision, subject to Texas Government Codes 551.071 and 551.082.

Wanda Frances Alford, 91, of Borger, passed away, Friday, July 8, 2011.
This year’s Borger Summer Celebration is set for this Thursday!
The event, sponsored by the Borger Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to take place from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Huber Park. A variety of booths will be on hand for people to enjoy during the celebration.

The burn ban in Hutchinson County will continue.
Hutchinson County Commissioners acted to extend the burn ban after speaking with Fire Marshal Danny Richards Monday morning. County Judge Faye Blanks said that certain areas have continued with a disaster declaration that could be extended with additions. However, Richards said he found it best to just stick with the burn ban for the time being.
”It will be more efficient,” he said.
He also stated that the area is 11 inches behind in average moisture and no signs of any precipitation are present in the near future.

Fritch – Memorial services for Thomas Ollyn “Mac” McMillan, 86, of Fritch, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fritch Church of Christ with Mr. Richard Kasko, Minister officiating under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mac was a resident of Borger and Fritch for the past 65 years and was retired from Phillips Petroleum Co after 39 years. He served in the U. S. Army as a Staff Sgt. during World War II. He attended Fritch Church of Christ for many years. He married Nita Ogle in 1949 in Clayton, N.M.
The Stinnett Police Department has received a tip on an ID theft case which has been under investigation.
The tip is in regards to an ID theft video collected by the department from the Borger Dollar General.
The video shows a suspect forging his signature for purchased items that were initially bought on May 27, 2011.
He also committed the same crime in McDonald’s and the Stinnett Allsups. The amount of theft totaled $191.86.
Farbro said that the victim randomly checked his account on the internet, and realized someone was using his ATM/debit card.
