Gene Meyer of Madill, OK, went to be with the lord on January 12, 2014.
Gene was born in Shilder, OK, with his twin brother Dene on October 15, 1934.
Gene is survived by his wife Ann of the home; daughter Gina Czechan of Jefferson City,
MO; grandson Dustin Czechan and wife Paige; great-grandson Remington Czechan; two stepchildren,
Melody and Dean; and two brothers, Dene and Albert of Borger; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Rosa Meyer; two brothers, Truman
and Walter; and one sister, Rosalie Heflin.
John Ray Thompson, 70 of Fritch died January
3rd in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be
10:00 am Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger.
Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral
directors of Borger.
John was born October 30, 1943 in McKinney, Texas to
Harley Ray and Opal Horn Thompson. He was a disabled
veteran in the US Navy. He was a resident of Fritch for 29
years. He was an accomplished carpenter. He won an award
for over 1,000 hours volunteering at the Amarillo VA Hospital.
He loved making peopleâ€™s days brighter at the VA Hospital.
Melba Jean Gunn, 82, died Tuesday January
14, 2014 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m.
Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Leonard Forsythe
of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are
under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of
Melba was born June 30, 1931 to Johnathan and Edna Wilson
Torbett in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She came to Borger in
1936 where she later met and married E. L. â€śBusterâ€ť Gunn.
Melba was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church and was
Past President of the B.P.O.E. Elkettes.
Bobby Roy Hodges, 79 of Fritch died January
13, 2014 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:00 am
Thursday January 16th at Fortress Baptist Church with Pastor
Mark England officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial
Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell
Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Bobby was born October 31, 1934 in Saint Jo, Texas to
John Mack and Zada Pearl Warner Hodges. He drove a truck
for Enron. He married Norma Jean Whitfield June 9, 1951 at
Olton, Texas. He loved to work in the yard and after his stroke
loved to do wood burning.
Rachael Danielle Stevens, 28, passed A&M AgriLife Extension
away Saturday, January 11, 2014.
Funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday, January 17, 2014
at Celebration Family Church under the direction of Minton
Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. The family will receive
friends on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the
funeral home. The Tree of Life Memorial Foundation has
