Patricia Gayle Williams was born June 21, 1945 in Leedey, Oklahoma to Dora Gayle and Arthur Frank Haney. She passed away December 6, 2013 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 15 days.
Pat grew up in western Oklahoma before moving to Lubbock, Texas. She moved to New Mexico and then to Borger, Texas in 1965 to make her home.
Pat had worked a number of years for Plains Chevrolet as a bookkeeper. She moved to Elk City in 2009 to be near her children.
Vicki Martin Oâ€™Gorman, 62, died December 5, 2013, in Canyon, Texas.
Services celebrating her life will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Canyon with Debra Huffman, pastor, officiating. Services in Stinnett will follow at 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday at First Christian Church of Stinnett. Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Burial will take place at Stinnett Cemetery, Stinnett, Texas, with arrangements by Brooks Funeral Directors.
AUSTIN â€“ Gov. Rick Perry today issued an emergency proclamation directing additional state resources to prepare for a severe winter storm system that is moving across Texas. The governor yesterday activated the Texas Military Forces to preposition assets in preparation for the storm.
â€śAs this winter storm makes its way across the state, I urge all those in the affected communities to closely monitor the storm and prepare for dangerous weather conditions,â€ť Gov. Perry said. â€śWe will continue to take the necessary actions to make state resources available to assist affected areas.â€ť

Jimmie Edward Tate, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
A memorial service will be held 10 am Monday, December 9, 2013 at Eternal Light Church. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Jimmie was born June 15, 1930 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Pete and Myrtle Tate. He married Delwanda Cummings in Clovis, New Mexico on September 6, 1951.

Marilyn was born September 10, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts
to Herman and Susie Bryan. She was a retired nurse.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents; son,
Johnny Moore; daughter, Gayla Howard; and brother, Ray
Survivors include her daughter, Melody Doughty and her
husband, Jim; brother, Herb Bryan; sisters, Barbra Costagliola,
Gloria Blankenship; grandchildren, Charleen Kirby, John
The Christmas Parade is today at 6:00pm.
Janetta Ann Choat, 74, died November 24, 2013
Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2013 in
Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Jim Yates,
Interim Hospice Chaplain, and Steven Choat, her stepson, officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa,
under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors
Mrs. Choat was born December 28, 1938 in Montague, Texas.
She had been a resident of Pampa from 1957 until 1989
when she moved to Borger. She married H. C. Powers in 1957.
Kaye Mardis, 74, born September 12, 1939 in Phillips, Texas died November 23, 2013 in Amarillo, Texas
A memorial service was held by the family in Borger in honor of Kaye and to celebrate her life.
Kaye was born September 12, 1939 in Phillips, Texas to Hal and Ilene Nail. She was formerly of Amarillo yet had lived in Borger for several years. Kaye married Randall Mardis on December 11, 1959 in Phillips. They were married for almost 54 wonderful years. Kaye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
