A celebration of the life of Jack Junior Harkins will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Southcrest Baptist Church, 3801 South Loop 289, Lubbock, TX with Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery, Fritch, TX at 4:00 PM. Arrangements are under Sanders Funeral Home, 1420 Main Street, Lubbock, TX. The family will receive friends at the Sanders Funeral Home at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 10, 2013.

Charles “Terry” Gray, 69, of Borger died Monday, May 6, 2013 in his home.

Donald Rumold, 92 years old, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Amarillo.

The Plainsmen tied for third place in the WJCAC conference, earning their right to play in the Region 5 tournament in Grand Prairie, TX May 11-16. This is the first time the baseball team has made it out of their very tough conference.
Look for a big story in the sports section this week on their huge success!

First, Second, Third and Fourth graders gather to see which student with perfect attendance for the 5th six weeks will win a bike given by the Borger Rotary Club and Wal-mart.
