Area gets up to 3 inches of rain.
The Fritch City Council Meeting on Wednesday night was a little heated at times as citizens of Fritch voiced many complaints to the Council. The Council did accept the resignation of City Manager Bobby Lamb among much controversy over miss appropriations of city funds. Lamb had previously stated in May that the â€śmismanagement of the funds and the city's finance problems were caused by a former employeeâ€ť.

Dontrae Butler, BHS running back is leaving July 5th to play for Team USA. Money raised from this basketball event will go towards his expenses.
Admission is $5 at the door. Girls will play at 5 p.m. and boys at 7 p.m. There will be full concession.
Dontraeâ€™s mom, Ladonna Johnson, has been heading up many fundraisers for her son. â€śHe has worked so hard for this, and we would love to see a packed gym,â€ť she said.
Benita Catherine Himmelberg, 81, died June 11, 2013, in Borger.
Rosary service will be said at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Johnâ€™s Catholic Church with Father Richard Zanetti officiating, interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Burial and graveside military services wereheld at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.

Carla was born on May 6, 1935, in Phillips, Texas to Frank and Alice Williams. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1953. She married Charles McWilliams on June 25, 1953, in Clayton, New Mexico. They lived in Borger, Texas until 1969 when they moved to Olathe, Colorado. In 1970, Carla was instrumental in getting the girls basketball team started in Olathe. Carla and Charlie were married 59 years and 11 months. They were blessed with 4 children all born in Borger, Texas.
