WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Obama Administration’s plan to close six interior Border Patrol stations in Texas has hit another roadblock. The government funding bill passed by both the House and the Senate specifically prohibits the closures at least through September 30, 2013.
Linda Pierce, age 64, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at her residence in Sherman.
Mrs. Pierce was born December 7, 1948 in Plainview, Texas. Linda was a computer analyst at IBM and a member of New Life Community Church in Marco Island Florida.
Kevin Cardona, 18, of Borger, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Borger, TX.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1994.
The funeral will be held in Odessa on Friday, March 22, 2013.
Close friends and family are holding a ceremony for him at Huber Park at 7 p.m. A balloon release will follow along with a candlelight walk.
March 20th
There will be a good bye ceremony held for Kevin Cardona on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. It will be held in Huber Park. Balloons and candles will be provided for all those who attend the service to pay their respects.

[March 20, Amarillo]: The Amarillo Venom will be holding a press conference on Thursday, March 21 at the Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum on Coors Field at 2:00 p.m.
Amarillo Venom head coach Julian Reese will speak to the media about the upcoming game on Saturday, March 23 as the Venom are getting ready to defend their Lone Star Football League Championship. The Amarillo Venom are hosting the New Mexico Stars in their season opener at the Coors Field in the Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum. Gates open at 6 p.m. and kickoff is at 7:05 p.m.
Wayne Charles Klause, 63, died Monday, March 18, 2013, in his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents Waite and Virginia Klause of Borger, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Tonya; two sons, Aaron and Eric; seven grandchildren: Taylor, Alyssa, Jayden, Bailey, Kennedy, Addison and Darcy; and great-granddaughter Ryleigh. And four sisters, Janice, Cathy, Judy and Sharon. A family memorial service will be held later this year.

Services will be at Bill Merritt Funeral Home, 6201 NW 39th Expy, Bethany, OK, Saturday, March 23rd at 2pm. Viewing will be Friday, March 22nd from 8am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-12pm. Roger Milton loved children. In lieu of flowers please donate in his memory to your favorite children's charity.
Stinnett – At his request, there will be no services for Ronny Leon Herron, who died March 9, 2013, in Sterling VA. Cremation has taken place.
He was born on July 24, 1951, in Borger Texas, the son of Donald and Faye Herron. He was raised and graduated from school in Stinnett, TX.
Survivors include his mother Faye Herron of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother Billy Herron of Tucson AZ; a sister Donna Sue Hilim of Skiatook OK; two nephews; one niece, and one great niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Herron.
Shannon E. Hefner, 52, born in Pampa, TX on Jan. 10, 1961, to Joe and Norma Hefner of Borger.
Survivors include his parents, two brothers, Shawn D. Hefner and Richard L. Holman, and one sister Linda Washburn and Randy of Gruver.
He was cremated.
Burial took place Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Westlawn Cemetery, and the services were graveside only.
