ALERT: Borger sports rescheduled due to weather

February 11, 2013

Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, there are some changes in the athletic schedule for today and tomorrow. They are as follows:

TODAY –
V/JV Softball vs. Dumas will be played today at 4:30/6:30 – there
V G Soccer vs. Amarillo High will be played today at 5:00 – home
V B Soccer vs. Amarillo High will be played today at 7:00 – home
V Baseball vs. Palo Duro (scrmg) will be played today at 4:00 – home

TUESDAY –
9th/JV/V Boys BB vs. Dalhart* will play at 4:30/6:00/7:30 – home
JV Baseball vs. Palo Duro (scrmg) at 4:00 – there
JV Tennis @ Amarillo JV Meet – TBA – there

ALERT: Monday weather

Clouds will begin to work their way in throughout the afternoon hours as our next upper level storm approaches for tonight and tomorrow morning. Highs will top out in the mid 40s with winds out of the E/SE at 10-20.

AGENDAS: School boards to meet tomorrow evening

**EDITOR'S NOTE** If there are any changes in these meeting times due to the possible inclement weather forecast for tomorrow, the Borger News-Herald will alert its readers as soon as possible.

Borger ISD
The Borger ISD board of trustees will be taking some action on state waivers during its upcoming meeting.
The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in the board conference room of the Borger ISD Administration Building, 200 East Ninth.
The board will consider approval of state waivers for early release, staff development days, and minimum class size exceptions.

2-4-13 Deputies responded to a Copper Theft at the intersection of Hwy 136 and Fairlanes Blvd.
2-7-13 Gary Lynn Jones was arrested on three felony warrants #13-0080A - Indecency w/Child sexual contact, #13-0080B - Aggravated Sexual assault child, and #13-0080C - Indecency with a child exposes.
2-8-13 Deputies responded to the Hutchinson County Jail to assist with an unruly inmate.
2-8-13 Deputies responded to a overdose on Yuma Dr. in Fritch.
2-8-13 Deputies responded to a Burglary of Habitation call on Canyon Circle in Fritch.

PAMPA - Clint Trey Brown, 29, went home to Heaven on February 8, 2013 in Amarillo.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ricky Pfeil, pastor of Kingdom Keys Church in Amarillo, and Rev. Nick Matthews, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
