Rumors abounded yesterday about an alleged incident involving a gun at a public school campus in Fritch, but officials from the Sanford-Fritch ISD and the Fritch Police Department have denied such reports.
â€śThere was no weapon of any kind,â€ť stated Fritch Chief of Police Monte Leggett. â€śThat is only a rumor.â€ť
Officials from the National Park Service and several area fire departments will conduct a controlled burn today near the Bugbee Estates community at the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area that may leave some areas off-limits to visitors, according to a press release from the National Park Service.
Roy Cordell Reynolds, Sr., 65, of Fritch passed away Sunday, December
8, 2013 in Fritch.
Roy Cordell Reynolds, Sr. was born October 9, 1948 in Pampa, TX. to Cloyce â€śBudâ€ť and
Betty (Thompson) Reynolds, Jr.
He married Cherie Cunningham July 17, 1998 in Fritch, Texas .Roy owned his own upholstery
shop in Fritch. Roy was a member of the Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge #1360 A.F. &
Roy is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Cherie of Fritch, two sons Roy Cordell Reynolds Jr. of Missouri,
Dana Wayne Collins, 64, of Ranger,
Texas formerly of Fritch passed away Monday,
December 9, 2013.
Cremation is under the direction of Minton
Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Dana was born March 23, 1949 in Borger, Texas
to Louie and Wanda Collins. He graduated from
Sanford Fritch High School and proudly served in
the United States Navy. Dana is affectionately
known to his Indian family as Yobota Onssi (Flying
Eagle). Dana was also known as a musician and songwriter.
He is preceded in death by his father Louie Collins; grandfather, Dean Stucker and grandmother,
Lisa Renee` Harris, 46, passed
away December 11, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday,
December 13, 203 at Grace Church. Burial will
follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction
of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of
She was born March 31, 1967 in San Angelo,
Texas to Rodney and Gail Russell. Lisa Renee`
loved to read, scrap booking of her family, and
going on motorcycle rides. She loved being with her friends and family.
