Molly Jane Bayless Brain, 93, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Genesis Morgantown Campus, Madison Center. She was born June 18, 1920 in Wilburton, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Leona B. McLarty Bayless.
C. H. â€śBunkâ€ť Farley, 81, of Stinnett, died in his home on Monday, October 28, 2013. Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 a.m. , Thursday, October 31, at the Lazy J Ranch Shop. Graveside Services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lazy J Ranch Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Fire at Bugby last night burned itself out.
Maggie Painter, 56, died October 23, 2013 in Canyon, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Canyon with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.
Lois Lee Burris, 83, died Friday October 25, 2013 at her home in Borger. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday in Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Husband and wife radioed in a SOS about his oil pressure being low and ended up clipping a utility pole and crashed at the Co-Field Park. Husband and wife are both fine.
Integracare Home Health and Hospice recently joined The Borger Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Ambassadors are shown along with Integracare employees during their ribbon cutting.
Fairlanes Apartment Complex sent out eviction notices on the Friday October 18th for families to be out by the end of the month. There are fifteen families looking to re-locate.
Ray Stegall, 70, of Fritch, passed away, Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Fritch.
Carlos Ray Stegall, Jr. was born October 8, 1943 in Plainview to Carlos Ray and Dortha Vera (Smith) Stegall, Sr. Ray married Davalou Lutz on October 5, 1963 in Plainview. He was a carpenter. Ray was a member of Borger First Church of the Nazarene in Borger.
Ray is preceded in death by his father and a brother Melvin Stegall.
