Area fire crews responded to a fire call Thursday evening north of the refinery.
Yesterday afternoon around 7 p.m., Borger Fire Department was dispatched to a fire north of the Conoco Phillips refinery. The call reported smoke in a creek bottom.
According to Hutchinson County Fire Marshal Danny Richards the fire was in a spot to where it made it difficult for the Fire department to reach it.
"The creek bottom was nothing but mud and wet sand. Several fire trucks got stuck," said Richards.
