Two seniors from West Texas High will be playing in the Golden Spread All Star Volleyball tournament this weekend in Canyon.
According to WTHS Coach Patterson, Devin DeLapp and Cheyenne Tull will be playing on the North All Star team under Coach Stephanie Bankhead. Their first game will be Saturday at 1:00pm at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.
Congratulations, girls!

The Borger Economic Development Corporation has made plans to invest in a potential expansion project for Agrium.
Dan Redd, CEO of the Borger EDC, said the corporation plans on investing $1 million in the project over a 10-year period. The money will be directed toward water wells and supply lines to supply additional water to the City of Borger’s water system as well as the proposed Agrium expansion project.
No final decision has been made on the Agrium project. However, what is proposed is an ammonia plant expansion and new urea production facility.

Betty Jo Black, 86, of Borger, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.
Betty Jo (Spinks) Black was born Thursday, Sept. 30, 1926, in Tell, TX to Robert and Ethel (Shields) Spinks. Betty was retired from the Human Resources Department for the State of Texas. She loved dancing, playing dominoes, and her grandchildren.
On the evening of January 5, 2013 surrounded by her loving family, Viola Mae Stephens slipped peacefully into the arms of her loving God, where she was joyfully reunited with friends, family and her husband of 40 years, Dr. Walton Glen Stephens.
Viola was born on October 17, 1907 in Burlington, KS to Charles and Stella Bunton.Â
She is preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Morris, brothers Leo Bunton and Wayne Bunton. Â
Dorothy Mosley, 94, of Borger, passed away, Tuesday, January 8, 2013.
Dorothy Elizabeth (Reynolds) Mosley was born Sunday, June 23, 1918 in Gladewater, TX to Henry and Lecta Mae (Smith) Reynolds. She married Clifford (Jack) Mosley on December 25, 1941 in Stratford, TX. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Mosley is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Lovell Kennard, 74, formerly of Skellytown, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Borger.
No services are scheduled. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Lovell Kennard was born February 5, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas. He retired as a Deputy Sheriff after being in law enforcement for 23 years. Lovell married Nelda Kale March 17, 1979 in Pampa. He loved his family, grandkids, great-grandchild, and friends.
