Borger's representative in the State Senate will be in town Sept. 10.
Kel Seliger, State Senator for District 31, will be speaking at the Borger City Hall located at 600 North Main. The town hall meeting, which will be focused on the upcoming 83rd legislative session convening in January 2013, will run from 3-4 p.m. next Monday.
Michael Cate, 66, of Brownfield, died Saturday Sept. 1, 2012, at home.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 5, at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jimmie Nelson, brother-in-law, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Michael was born June 19, 1946 at Borger to Roy and Ruth Cate. He graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Delores Cate Nelson and Louise Eatmon and a brother Dempsey Cate.
Surviving is his brother-in-law Jimmie Nelson of Burleson, Texas.
Linioel Geyer Aleskin passed away peacefully on Sept. 1, 2012, in Louisville, CO. She was 89 years old.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Linioel was born on April 28, 1923 to Bruce and Caroline Geyer in Ada, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Aleskin, her two sisters, Genelle Root, Marjorie McDonald and her brother, Kent Geyer.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Jon Rasmussen of Boulder, CO and her son, Geyer Aleskin of Borger, TX.
F. P. â€śPatâ€ť Harvey, 91, of Borger died Saturday Sept. 1, in Amarillo.
Memorial services were at 11:30 am Monday Sept. 3, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Jenniffer Santer, pastor officiating and Jerry Pool Elder assisting. Burial was at Memory Gardens in Pampa, Texas under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
