Bobby Kent Landers, age 69, of Granite, passed away Sunday evening, September 2, 2012, at Integris Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City, surrounded by his family who loved him so much.
Mr. Landers was born in Borger, Texas on April 19, 1943, to Horace K. and Julia B. (McCabe) Landers.
While attending school in Borger, he met the love of his life, Paula Caskey, and they were married on December 16, 1960, in Borger, and spent the next fifty-one wonderful years together before his death.
Aniyah Nancylynn Jernberg, infant daughter of Andrew and Maria (Guevara) Jernberg, passed away September 3rd, 2012 in Claremore, OK.
Survivors include her parents, Andrew and Maria (Guevara) Jernberg, Pryor, OK; one brother, Joshua Jernberg, TX; 2 sisters, Maricella Guevara, Pryor, OK; Ashlynn Jernberg, Pryor, OK; three grandfathers, Gerald Jernberg, Stinnett, TX; Joe Guevara, Sunray, TX; Scott Hockey, Ozark, AR; grandmother, Lori Hockey, Ozark, AR; two aunts, Josie Guevara, Pryor, OK; Miranda DeLuna, Stinnett, TX; two uncles, Nathan Guevara, Victoria, TX; Cody Jernberg, Stinnett, TX
Howdy Neighbor Day in Fritch is set for Oct. 6!
The event is being hosted by the Fritch Chamber of Commerce, with a fall festival theme in place. Vicki Wilson, president of the chamber, said the parade will start sharply at 10 a.m. down Hoyne Street and travel down Broadway to the city park.
â€śFloats will be judged on creativity, originality, and theme,â€ť she said. â€śFloat entries will have a chance to win three cash prizes ranging from $50 to $100. We also invite bicycles, bands, classic cars and trucks, tractors, four-wheelers, and more to participate in the parade.â€ť
The time is drawing close once again for the annual Hutchinson County Oil Patch Extravaganza.
HOPE 2012, with a theme of â€śThis Is Cure Country, A Tribute to 25 years of HOPE,â€ť is set to begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Crutch Ranch.
Tickets will be available for purchase from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Wells-Fargo Bank in Borger. Ticket prices are $200, which admits two people.
