An Amarillo hypnotist brought his skills to the Borger Rotary Club Tuesday afternoon.
Gerry Kelly, who owns Hypnosis Works in Amarillo, said hypnosis has applications in a lot of other areas beyond the field of entertainment.
He said over the last 10 years, he has devoted his time to hypnosis and using it to help people better themselves. He said he sees people for all kinds of problems daily, and said he believes hypnosis is a quicker alternative to some of the more extensive forms of treatment out there.

BCT is planning to run the show on August 9, 10, and 11 (days may vary) at 7 p.m.
Cost is $18 for dinner and the show. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. and doors will open at 6 p.m.

The Hutchinson County voters have spoken.
Don Johnson has been voted the new sheriff of the county. According to vote totals posted by myhighplains.com, Johnson won with 1,720 votes (62 percent of the vote) compared to Mickey Blackmonâ€™s 1,061 votes for a total of 38 percent of the vote.
Vote totals from the Hutchinson County Clerkâ€™s office were not available as of press time today.
