Early voting begins Monday in the upcoming runoff election.
Early voting for the runoff election is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the days of July 23 through July 27, 2012.
When voters go to cast ballots in the runoff election, all they need to have with them is a voter registration card or driverâs license.
Voting locations are as follows:
Hutchinson County Courthouse, 500 Main Street, Basement, Stinnett
Hutchinson County Annex, 1400 Veta St., Room 111, Borger
Fritch Library Community Room, 205 N. Cornell, Fritch
An upcoming Borger Elks Lodge fundraiser is its sixth annual Charity Golf Tournament.
The tournament will be held at the Phillips Municipal Golf Course on Aug. 11, 2012, at 9 a.m.
It will be a scramble format. Teams must consist of four people at $50 per person. Cart and green fees are included. Breakfast, lunch and door prizes will be available. Mulligan or $5, front and back.
The sponsorship fee is $100 per tee. Sponsor names will be displayed at each tee.

Funeral services will be held for Juanita âRuthâ Mitchell Steagall Robertson, 94, of Chickasha at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Dr. Rockford Johnson officiating.
Juanita âRuthâ Mitchell was born on August 16, 1917, in Ringgold, Texas, to Robert Fain Mitchell & Mabel Ruth (Hedgpeth) Mitchell. She died on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at home in Chickasha.
Lisa Diane Hatch, 52, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 16, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by her loving family. The rosary will be 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 20, 2012 at Johnsonâs Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Msgr. Robert Bush as celebrant. Lisa was born March 18, 1960 in Borger, Texas to Joe and Maxine Looney Richards. Lisa grew up in Borger and also lived in Dumas, Texas.
William Abel âWillieâ Smith, 87, died at his home Monday, July 16, 2012.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Robertson, Pastor, officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Clyde W. Bruce, 85 of Borger, died Wednesday July 18th at Amarillo.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday July 21st at First Christian Church with Rev. James Stephens, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
FRITCH - Barbara Jean Gum, 80, of Fritch, Texas died Monday, July 16, 2012 in Dumas, Texas.
A Memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with Reverend Calvin Winters, Pastor of First Southern Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Two vehicles were involved in a wreck occurring early Tuesday afternoon.
According to Lt. Anthony Griffin of the Borger Police Department, the wreck occurred at approximately 12:23 p.m. on July 17, 2012, in the 200 block of West Third Street.
A 2004 White Chevrolet 4 Door, driven by Joann Cantrell Phelps, 56, of Borger, was stopped at the traffic light at 3rd Street and Main Street. A 2012 Gray Nissan 350Z, driven by Joshua Jay Smith, 36, of Borger, made a left hand turn off of Main Street onto 3rd Street.
