Nutterville 2012 set for this weekend

Nutterville 2012 is set for this weekend, and local and area residents are encouraged to come and have fun for a great cause.
The event is set for July 27-28 and will be held two and a half miles west of Stinnett on Highway 152.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Hutchinson County Cares, Inc., an organization dedicated to the memory of Casey Aylor.
The mission of the organization is to assist and positively affect the lives of children and families in the community. Entrance to the event is $30 a person, and children 12 and under are free.

Early voting beginning in runoff election

Early voting begins Monday in the upcoming runoff election.
Early voting for the runoff election is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the days of July 23 through July 27, 2012.
When voters go to cast ballots in the runoff election, all they need to have with them is a voter registration card or driver’s license.
Voting locations are as follows:
Hutchinson County Courthouse, 500 Main Street, Basement, Stinnett
Hutchinson County Annex, 1400 Veta St., Room 111, Borger
Fritch Library Community Room, 205 N. Cornell, Fritch

Elks holding golf tournament Aug. 11

An upcoming Borger Elks Lodge fundraiser is its sixth annual Charity Golf Tournament.
The tournament will be held at the Phillips Municipal Golf Course on Aug. 11, 2012, at 9 a.m.
It will be a scramble format. Teams must consist of four people at $50 per person. Cart and green fees are included. Breakfast, lunch and door prizes will be available. Mulligan or $5, front and back.
The sponsorship fee is $100 per tee. Sponsor names will be displayed at each tee.
