Law enforcement launches No-Refusal July 4

June 28, 2012

During this upcoming Fourth of July, Texas law enforcement will not be taking no for an answer.
This mainly focuses on motorists driving drunk and refusing to cooperate when stopped.
Officials, judges, and district attorneys will be doubling down on law enforcement in conjunction with a “No Refusal” campaign launched in time for the Independence Day holiday.

Triple-digit summertime temperatures are a fact of life in parts of the Panhandle. Throughout the rest of the week, the Borger News-Herald will offer safety tips to keep cool during the summertime heat. Heat can be a killer if you’re not careful and play it cool. Here are things to remember when the temperatures start to soar.

Bob Wells Sr., 78, of Borger, passed away, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Borger, TX.
Robert Harley Wells Sr. was born, Wednesday, January 31, 1934 in Perryton, TX to Glenn and Lillian (Cook) Wells. Mr. Wells was a maintenance supervisor for the Comico Fertilizer plant.
Mr. Wells is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Janie Wells.
