Due to a strong wind from the south, each team enjoyed having an extra teammate in Mother Nature for a half of play. Unfortunately, the Lady Lions would be the team taking advantage of the wind, by scoring three goals and being able to keep the ball on one side of the field for the majority of the second half.

Entering Saturday, Bulldog fans had wonder how the Borger Bulldogs would perform in their first game after losing a family member within the Bulldog program. The answer was a pleasant surprise, as the Bulldogs rallied around each other and put together a dominating performance against District 1-3A foes the Perryton Rangers, with the Bulldogs leaving Huber Park with the 13-1 win in five innings.
