HCUW prepares for Day of Caring

February 4, 2012

The Hutchinson County United Way (HCUW) is looking for projects for their Day of Caring on April 28th.
The Day of Caring gives volunteers in the community an opportunity to come together to give their time and services to work on a one-time project in an effort to impact our community’s needs with tasks they are unable to perform themselves.
HCUW is asking people to submit project requests if they know of someone within the community who is elderly or disabled and in need of help with home improvement projects.

The Tribe hosted the Canadian Wildcats on Senior night in the final District game between the two schools due to realignment. The Comanches kept pace with the Wildcats in the first quarter, but Canadian’s defense held WT to single digit scoring in the second and third quarter to easily win the game 52-34.

With the new realignment, looks like this will be the last District contest between the two teams as Canadian will be moving up to 2A next year.
