Since recent tragedies have occurred because of the misuse of firearms, the government is considering removing guns from the system by enforcing â€śgun controlâ€ť.
Not only have gun sales gone through the roof, but there have been more inquiries on Concealed Handgun License classes.
According to CHL instructor Dennis Burton, people are getting concerned.
He continued to say, â€śIt is important to protect ourselves. Police officers canâ€™t always be there. As a police officer I appreciate those who have a Concealed Handgun License.â€ť
The Borger Fire Department and Xcel Energy responded to a fire at an electrical substation on Spring Creek Road early Wednesday morning that was caused by a possible intrusion, resulting in electricity going out for several Borger residents.
Hutchinson County Fire Marshal Danny Richards said the call came in at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday.
The fire resulted in a power outage on the east side of Borger, and power was out for approximately two hours.
