Kimberly Denise â€śKimâ€ť Lasater, 44, formerly of Borger, died Nov. 21, 2012, in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 28, 2012, at the Cross Community Church of God with Rev. Bill Ratchford officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in the Garden of Hope under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

F. A. Records, Lt. Col., USAF retired, died November 16, 2012 in Pampa.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. James Stevens, pastor of the First Christian Church of Borger, officiating.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Ochiltree Cemetery south of Perryton with military honors courtesy of Altus Air Force Base Blue Knights Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Services for Luther Eugene Jones, 84, were Saturday morning November 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with Reverend Don Clark officiating. Interment followed at Lone Grove Cemetery.
The son of the late Luther Thomas and Jewell Risner Jones, He was born August 27, 1928 in Lone Grove and passed away November 20 in an Oklahoma City hospital.
Cas Henry Ratliff, 73, of Fritch, TX, passed away, Sunday, November 25, 2012.
Cas Henry Ratliff was born Saturday, March 11, 1939 in Forestburg, TX to William and Audrey (Yarbrough) Ratliff Sr. He was a retired warehouse supervisor for Phillips Petroleum. He married Betty Louise Talley in 1956 in Clayton, NM.
Mr. Ratliff is preceded in death by his parents.
A Turner Energy tanker truck caught fire just two miles north of Fritch on Monday.
According to Hutchinson County Fire Marshal Danny Richards, the truck was hauling hydrocarbon liquid which is similar to low-grade gasoline.
The wreck happened on Fritch Fortress just before 1 p.m. The Fritch Fire Department, Hutchinson County Fire Department, Fritch EMS, and National Park Service responded to the scene.
All officials had the fire under control around 3 p.m. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. No injuries were reported. The truck was a total loss.
The Borger City Council has approved an incentive agreement between the Borger Economic Development Corporation and a new business.
The agreement, which is between the EDC and Panhandle Maintenance, was approved last Tuesday.
Panhandle Maintenance, owned by Edward Rodriguez, is a Texas sole propietorship company that is engaged in, among other things, process safety including risk evaluations and preventative processes to avert accidents.
A local family is in need of community support.
Shawn and Whitney Reeves were proud parents on Oct. 6, 2012, by giving birth to their daughter Sunni Nicole Reeves. Shortly after her birth, she was diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and has since gone through around seven surgeries.
According to Facebook, her parents found a medical institution in Houston to get Sunni the care she needs. Shawn and Whitney also have two small boys attending school, Ryder and Cooper, so they both travel back and forth to give their time and attention evenly to their children.
If community members and students truly want to arrive alive, they are encouraged not to drive distracted behind the wheel.
This was the message of the â€śArrive Alive: Don't Text and Driveâ€ť rally held Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Borger High School. The rally was organized by sophomore class officers J.T. Conner, Lane Myers, Callie Galloway, Christian Marr, and Britany Rodriguez.
Featured speaker for the event was Department of Public Safety Trooper Darrin Bridges. He said there are tragedies that occur daily as a result of distracted driving.
Betty Earline Harbison, 63, of Fritch, passed away, Friday, November 16, 2012 in Borger, TX.
Earline was born December 10, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Samuel Earl and Betty Jo (Jackson) Hardcastle. She married Rick Harbison on December 9, 1968 in Borger. She was a housewife and a charter member of the Fairlanes Baptist Church in Borger, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel Earl and Betty Jo Hardcastle and step father Lester Goswick.
