Connie Nance, 40, of Amarillo, died Saturday, September 29, 2012.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Independence Village, 4700 S. Virginia Street. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Lady Bulldogs can't shake Pampa

The Lady Bulldogs travelled to Pampa to take on the Lady Harvesters this Saturday for a tough district contest. The ladies were down and out in the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-21, but came back and won the next two26-24 and 28-26. In the fifth and final set, they fell 15-10.
Every lady on the team contributed in the contest. They played solid in the first two sets, but Pampa prevailed. The girls cleaned it up in the third and fourth sets.

Council to act on event center resolution

October 1, 2012

The Borger City Council will be acting on a resolution at its upcoming meeting pertaining to a proposed events center for the city.
This action will be taken during the council's regular meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in the city council chambers of Borger City Hall, 600 North Main.
