Get your spoon and fork ready and your taste buds fired up - the First Annual Borger News-Herald Taste of Hutchinson County opens its doors to the public tonight at 6 p.m. and stays that way until 8 p.m.
Nineteen restaurants are signed up and ready to serve you the finest examples of their cuisine and drinks. They are: Bennigans; Borger Country Club; Budweiser; Buffalo Grass; Caprock Winery; Hilltop Bistro at Golden Plains Community Hospital; Great Plains Western Dining; Kentucky Fried Chicken; Lone Star Restaurant; and McDonald’s.

On Monday, Oct. 8 at 7:49 a.m., a 1996 Dodge pickup driven by Bobby Lee Ream, 17, of Borger turned left onto Wilson from Florida in front of a 2008 Saturn SUV driven by Ivonne Adilene Edwards, 25, of Borger. Ream’s vehicle struck the SUV on the front left. He was charged with Failure to Yield Right-of-Way. Four children were riding in the SUV. All occupants of the SUV were taken to Golden Plains Community Hospital Emergency Room for treatment.
