In the girls’ game, the Lady Wildcats came out running by opening the game with a 22-1 run on their way to getting the 67-7 win over the Lady Comanches.

If Tuesday night is any indication on how the District 1-3A play on the boys’ side is going to be, then the next several weeks are going to be filled with several heated contest between four solid teams,
In the District 1-3A opener between the Borger Bulldogs and Perryton Rangers at Tex Hanna Gym, the two teams battled back and forth in an entertaining matchup.
Unfortunately, good shooting from behind the three point line, solid free throw shooting, and taking advantage of no shot clock, in order to play stall ball, allowed the Rangers to leave Borger with 71-59 win.
On Tuesday evening, the Perryton Rangerettes used a 10-2 run in the fourth period to pull away for the 48-34 win over the Borger Lady Bulldogs at Tex Hanna Gym.
The win allows Perryton to stay perfect in district, while the Bulldogs drop to 0-3 after the first of three rounds of District 1-3A play.
The young Lady Bulldog squad came out playing well on both ends to put themselves in position to try to get the win before Perryton’s late run.
A jumper by senior Vanessa Jones put the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard first at the 5:20 mark of the first period.
Sometimes, it takes every player to win a big game. With eight of the nine players contributing points...means big, big win for the Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles over Bushland.
This win keeps the Lady Eagles sitting good in district at second place and this win means even more after tough loss to Spearman last Friday.
Sanford-Fritch started out dominating and quickly took advantage of numerous turnovers by Bushland to keep their lead for the entire game.
The first quarter score showed Sanford-Fritch up 18-8.
Tuesday evening saw a tough match for the Sanford-Fritch Eagles against the visiting Bushland Falcons.
The Eagles never could get their rhythm and Bushland took advantage and capitalized beating the Eagles in a big way.
First and second quarters was about Eagles just trying to slow down the Falcons and getting shots to fall. Eagles walked off at halftime behind 10-37.
The Eagles crew tried many different looks to get past a tough defensive Falcon team. It would be a long night and despite the incredible depth of Bushland, Sanford-Fritch finished with guts and heart.
