On Tuesday evening, the Borger Bulldogs outscored the Amarillo Highland Park Hornets 22-0 in the third period leading them to pull away for a 63-38 win at Tex Hanna Gym.
The win was one of those games were every Bulldog player had at least a rebound or put points on the scoreboard, led by junior Jamon Hearon who scored 22 points in his game back after missing three games due to a leg injury.
The Bulldogs started the game a little slow leading to the Hornets to open the game building a 12-4 lead.
On Tuesday evening, the Borger Lady Bulldogs appeared to be on their way to snapping a losing streak by leading throughout their game with the Amarillo Highland Park Lady Hornets up until the 26 second mark of the third period.
But the breaks in the final nine minutes of the game would not go the Lady Bulldogs way, leading to the Lady Hornets escaping Tex Hanna Gym with a 44-41 win.
The Lady Bulldogs opened the game strong by building a 10-2 lead by the 5:00 mark of the first period.
Country Chevrolet is serving as a drop-off site for the Rainbow Room again this year. This year Chevy is partnering with Borger Bank to make sure that area foster care children have a merry Christmas.
The dealership will serve as a dropoff for holiday items. Items may be donated during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Donnie Cauley, 52, of Borger, passed away, Friday, December 9, 2011.
Donnie Earl Cauley was born Sunday, May 10, 1959 in Roswell, NM to Robert and Mary (McKennon) Cauley. He was a self-employed small engine mechanic. Donnie was a Baptist.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Cauley and his grandparents.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Cauley of Stinnett, TX; his sister, Rissa Lewis and husband Jimmy of Stinnett, TX; four nephews, Joe and wife, Crystal, John and wife, Jennifer, Billy and Chris; grandmother, Lenora McKennon; great nephew, Jayce Danford; and two great nieces.
Ricky D. Sloan, 54, of Borger, died Saturday December 10, 2011, in Borger.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 15, 2011, at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Jerrel Don Easley, 76, died at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 8, 2011, at Brookside Nursing Home in Madill, Okla.
He was born on June 15, 1935, in Fob, Okla. He moved to Skellytown in 1970 and retired from Texaco Oil Company in 1989.
He moved to Madill, Okla., where he enjoyed fishing and helping out people in need.
He loved working with his hands and was nicknamed â€śHandy Man.â€ť
He loved being around his family and loved kids, especially all his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He never knew a stranger. You were friends instantly if you ever had the pleasure of meeting Don.
Fritch - Funeral services for Nancy Christine â€śChrisâ€ť Purdy, 55, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger with Rev. Justin Unwin, Pastor of 1st Assembly of God Church in Fritch. She will lie in state at the Funeral Home in Fritch. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Chris was born November 26, 1956 in Anadarko, Oklahoma and has lived in Fritch for the past 32 years. She owned and operated Chrisâ€™ Kitchen in Fritch for the past 17 years. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.

Tonight all three Hutchinson County high schools will take to the basketball court in boys and girls action.
The Borger High School boys and girls will host Amarillo Highland Park at Tex Hanna Gym with the girls beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 8:00 p.m.
Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs are looking to snap losing streaks with the Bulldogs in the midst of a two game skid and the Lady Bulldogs looking for their first win in the month of December.
