Borger High School graduate Rex Wilt has devoted his life to creating lasting works of art.
Wilt was the featured speaker at the Borger Rotary Club Tuesday afternoon, and shared details with the crowd about his career in the field of commercial art, a career he shares with his wife Michele.
He said he actually started training for his career when he was twelve years of age. His father kept asking him what he wanted to do with his life, and he told him he was interested in being an artist. His father told him he would starve to death.

Every October is considered Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a local school is “pinking out” for the cause.
West Texas High School National Honor Society will kick off fundraisers to help the Susan G. Komen and the National Breast Cancer Foundations. Last year, the school donated over $2,000 to both breast cancer foundations.
The school will have a week of events Oct. 3-7, officially known as “Pink Out Week.” October 7 will be “Total Pink Out Day.” Students and faculty will be dressed from head to toe in pink.
