Geraldine “Jeri” Osborne, 73, a former Panhandle resident, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Rev. Buddy Payne, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Bobbye (nee Wallis) Thiessen Schwalm, age 88, of Richardson, TX, was born 15 July 1922 in Mineral Wells and passed on peacefully 5 July 2011 after a lengthy illness.
She lived much of her younger life in Borger and Perryton, TX, and graduated from Borger High School.
Mother lived her life with a twinkle in her eye, strength in her step and a Texas can do spirit that inspired her family and friends.
She will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Chester F. Thiessen and Wallace R. Schwalm.
All cities in Hutchinson County saw an increase in their tax allocations during the month of July.
On Friday, Texas Comptroller Susan Combs sent sales tax allocations totaling $474.5 million to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts, up 7.2 percent compared to July 2010.
