On Tuesday evening, Borger High School senior J’Cee Pool was selected as the 2010-11 recipient of the E. J. Webb Award.
Qualifications to be nominated for the award include being an outstanding senior female athlete; exemplifying the highest moral character, behavior and leadership; regulating her actions at all times so that she will be a credit to the team, school, and community; and displaying good sportsmanship at all times by being modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
The E.J. Webb award is named after longtime Borger Coach E.J. (Jeep) Webb.
Tuesday evening Borger High School senior Sharkita Morrison was named the recipient of the 2010-11 Lynley Herbert Scholarship.
The scholarship was established in June of 2001 in memory of Lynley Herbert, with the first recipient being Tenora Hughes.
