Wednesday morning, West Texas High senior Erin Frost signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for the Clarendon College Lady Bulldogs.
Frost had a great senior year averaging around nine kills and three blocks a match for the district champion West Texas High Lady Comanches.
Frost was also a part of the Lady Comanche basketball and softball teams.
AMARILLO - Rodney Bruce Ferguson, 58, of Amarillo died Saturday May 7, 2011, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday May 11, 2011, at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger.
Bruce was born Feb. 24, 1953, in Borger to Thomas and Virginia Ferguson. He served in the U.S. Army 1st Calvary Airborne Combat Division as a Pathfinder serving three tours of duty in Vietnam.

Dr. Jud Hicks, president of FPC, was the featured speaker for the Borger Rotary Club meeting Tuesday. He spoke candidly about some of the issues the college has faced in the past, as well as its future plans.
He said when the news broke on Jan. 19 about the possibility of FPCâ€™s state funding being cut and the college facing potential closure, it was not a good day on campus.

The last chance for the cancer survivors or supporters residing in the Hutchinson County to register to take part in the Relay for Life and to get their invitation to the annual Survivorâ€™s Dinner and receive their t-shirt is Friday, May 13.

After cruising to wins on Monday in the first two rounds of the 3A State Tennis Tournament in Austin, the Borger brother and sister duo of senior Josh Madden and junior Abbie Madden left the courts at the World of Tennis at Lakeway in Austin as the best 3A Mixed-Doubles tennis team in the state.
They won the state championship match in straight sets over Laird Beaty and Courtney Johnson of Lindale, 6-4, 6-2.
From kills at the net in volleyball to driving down the lane for an easy lay up in basketball, Borger senior Jâ€™Cee Pool has put together a stellar resume in athletics during her time in high school.
However, there was one goal she wanted to accomplish before she walked across the stage a graduation: qualify for the state track meet in the shot put.
On Tuesday, West Texas High sophomore Nathan Forrest wrapped up play at the 1A State Golf Tournament in Austin finishing the tournament tied for sixth place with a score of 79-77-156.
Logan Philley of Robert Lee won the individual title shooting a 70-72-142.
In team competition, Robert Lee won the state title with a team score of 312-314-626.
