Living Water Ministries is offering free prom dresses to any young ladies who are needing them for that special night.
Right now, they have about eight or nine dresses to choose from.
Becky Dietz, director of Living Water, said, “We are receiving and giving them away for free.”
She also said if citizens would like to donate a dress they can bring them to Living Water located on Fourth and Main. The dresses need to be brought in the door under the arch.
Again, this is open to anyone. Living Water is open Monday thru Thursday from 9am to 3pm, and is located at 335 North Main Street.
Two citizens received special recognition during the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet Thursday evening.
Harry Kuhrt was named Citizen of the Year and Steve Hubertus was named Red Coat of the Year at the festivities, held at the Union Hall. The theme of this year’s event was “Magic Moments.”
Kuhrt received his award from the 2010 Citizens of the Year, Shawn and Carrie Burleson.
Of Kuhrt, S. Burleson said it has been cited that he unselfishly has given of his time to the community of Borger for many years.
